Tax Rates can be added based on Client Classifications to apply unique tax rates to specific clients.
- Create Client Classifications.
- Left Menu > Settings > Client Engagement > Client Classification
- Add the Client Classifications to be used for your Tax Rates.
- Access Tax Rate Setup
- Left Menu > Settings > Billing > Payments > Tax Setup
- Set Type to Client Classification
- Add each Client Classification to be used for tax rates to Tax Rates section.
- Each Tax Rate MUST have the same name as the Client Classification those rate(s) are applicable to.
- For each tax rate, enter the applicable tax percentages for clients with that Client Classification.
- The primary tax rates in the Tax Setup section will be used for and clients WITHOUT a Client Classification assigned.
- With Tax Rates are set up, set the Client Classification for any applicable clients to the appropriate classification that matches the desired tax rate for that client.
- Once Client Classification is applied, your client will be taxed based on the Client Classification Tax Rate that you have assigned them.
