VetShout has several different rules for when to send reminders (appointment and wellness).

- Include current appointments (1-6): Based on the setting above, this clinic is sending appointment reminders 1 day in advance. So on the day before the appointment, the client will receive an email.
- Include future appointments (7-28): Based on the setting above, this clinic is sending appointment reminders 7 days in advance. So 7 days before the appointment, the client will receive an email.
- Include boarding appointments separately: Notify about boarding appointments the day before (no options here). We determine boarding appointments by boarding reservations.
- Include grooming appointments separately: Notify about grooming appointments the day before (no options here). We determine grooming appointments if appointment type associated to appointment contains “GROOMING” (case insensitive).
- Include surgery appointments separately: Notify about surgery appointments the day before (no options here). We determine surgery appointments if appointment type associated to appointment contains “SURGERY” (case insensitive).
- Include day care appointments separately: Notify about day care appointments the day before (no options here). We determine day care appointments if appointment type associated to appointment contains “DAYCARE” (case insensitive).
- Include patients not seen in the last 12 months…: Find all appointments 12 months ago (to the day) and see if that patient does NOT have an appointment in the next 12 months. Send reminder to schedule appointment for wellness.
- Include future reminders (14-28 days): Look for any reminders that fall within the time period of the day configured (14 in this example) from now.
- Include missed reminders (14-28 days in the past): Same as above, but looks in the past
- Include birthday notifications: looks for any patients with a birthday of today and sends email
