To have a document template print automatically when a patient is checked into an appointment, there are three steps to follow:
- Tag the document template that is to print when checked into an appointment.
- Associate the document template with Appointment Types.
- Configure Visit Status to print the document template.
The following steps provide details to print a document template for an appointment at check in.
Tag the Document Template
- Navigate to the Menu > Practice Setup > Document Templates.
- Click the pencil to edit the document template to print at appointment check in. In this example, the Check In Report is used.
- Under General Information for the Document Template, from the Template is used for? drop-down list, select the use for the template.
- Save the changes.
Configure Appointment Types
- Go to Menu > Settings > Calendar > Appointment Types.
- Edit the Appointment Types that should be associated with a document template to print at check in.
- In the Edit Appointment Type, select the document template to print as the Check-in report.
- Save changes.
Configure Visit Status
- Go to Menu > Settings > Calendar > Visit Status.
- Edit the Visit Status that will print the document template.
- In the Edit Visit Status, check the option to Print check-in report.
- Save changes.
