Configuring the basics in Pulse can help you further optimize features like the Appointment Calendar, Electronic Medical Record, and Practice Integrations. This guide will navigate the most common settings in the General Practice Setup Menu.
Navigating to the General Practice Setup Menu
Note: The General Practice Setup Menu can only be accessed by users with the following roles: Business Managers and Owners, Group Managers and Owners.
You can access the General Practice Setup Menu from any page by clicking on the Gear Icon at the top right corner of Pulse.
You can also use the left pane navigation bar to access Menu > Settings > Practice Setup > General.
General Practice Profile Settings
General Information - Includes fields for Practice Name, Email, Site and Facebook URL, Locale, Time Zone, Practice Logo, and Site Header and Footer Color.
- Practice Name and Email Address - Please reach out to Pulse Support for assistance with changes to name or email address. (Practices often wish to change the email sender from auto@evetpractice.com to their custom email address.)
- Practice Logo - Supported files include JPEG, PNG, or BMP. See here for more information.
Hours of Operation, Address Information, Phone Information - Customize your practice's profile to optimize features like the calendar, and merge fields for templates.
Print Settings - Automate the general information to display on printed material.
Calendar Settings

Medical Record Settings
When configuring Medical Record settings, please note that most are not retroactive. Be sure you save and log out of Pulse before resuming work to allow the updated settings to take effect on your workstation.
