This article will guide you through how to restrict employees from generating or editing a document. This is useful when you want only authorized personnel to access a document with a doctor's signature.
Restrict Employees
- From the Menu, click on Settings > Practice Setup > Document Templates.
- If the document already exists, skip to step 6. If the document does not already exist, click on Add a New Document Template to create the document.
- Check the option to Allow edit prior to print/email?. Note: If the 'Template is used for' does not allow the options to edit prior to print/email or restrict employees, you may need to select '--Not Specified--' for template used.
- Enter information in the rich text editor.
- Click Save.
- Click the Pencil icon to edit the document that needs to be restricted from all employees.
- Check the option: Restrict employees?.
- With the Restrict employees? option, you can manage access to a document template by limiting it to specific roles or individual employees. Use the search fields to define the appropriate roles and users who should have access to the document template.
- Click Save.
