This method is typically used if something is either being physically returned or you are refunding someone for a service that was performed. Returning the items will generate a customer credit to be refunded or retained on the Client’s Account Balance.
Once a return is processed, the invoice cannot be voided, the return transaction cannot be undone. See here for examples Where Returning Items is Recommended.
Returning Items or Services
- Access the client’s page under which the transaction was processed.

Under the Account Balance section of the client’s page, click View History.
- The Payment History page will load and show transactions by the most recent activity appearing first.
- Locate the original invoice receipt to click Return Items.
- The Return Paid Items page will display the Original Transaction Details, and a Return Transaction section for you to enter notes, enter a quantity of the item to return, and check Return to Inventory.
- Click Calculate Refund Amount to preview what the refund will be.
- Click Process Return. You will be prompted with a confirmation that you do want to make the return. Click Yes to proceed.
The page will reload to the Payment History, where you will see the return transaction receipt. This cannot be undone or voided. Returning to the Client’s page under Account Balance, you will see the refund amount displayed as a customer credit.
Refunding the customer credit
You will now see that the client has a credit on the account that you need to refund to the client
- Click the Process Refund link. From here you can enter the credit amount to be put back onto the method of payment (Visa, Amex, Cash, etc.)
- Click on Process Payment. You will be prompted to confirm that you do want to continue processing the refund. Click Yes.
This will even out the client's account balance, so it is back at zero.
