The Treatment Board is a centralized view of all procedures that need to be performed for the patients currently in the hospital. Services, Labs, and Medications, when completed, are moved to the invoice and are recorded as part of the patient's medical record. The Treatment Board is accessible by every computer in real-time.
The Treatment Board is broken into different areas. Click on the link provided for step-by-step instructions.
Patient Overview Sheet - Overall view of all patients in the hospital with tasks on the Treatment Board.
Scheduler Sheet - Shows when tasks, services, and labs are due, overdue, or completed.
Patient Plan - A separate screen displays with the Daily Plan for the selected patient and where you can add tasks, services, and labs for the patient.
To open the Treatment Board:
From the Menu, click on Treatment Board ( ).
Patient Overview Sheet
When you open the Treatment Board, it opens to the Patient Overview Sheet. This view displays all patients checked into the hospital and the tasks, services, and labs that are due.
1) | This is the date indicator. For the current day, "Today" is displayed. If the user navigates to the next day, the indicator will read "Tomorrow". If the user navigates to a back date or ahead of the current date, the date will display. |
2) | Clicking the link to "Go to Scheduler Sheet" will open the page to a calendar view of the Treatment Board. This will display all patients checked in for care and when their treatments are due. |
3) | Clicking on the clipboard icon will open a side panel which will display the Practice Plan of scheduled or unscheduled treatments due that day. |
4) | The gear icon will display Departments. It is on this view where you can create Departments. |
5) | The number of patients on the Treatment Board. |
6) | Calendar navigation. Click the left arrow and right arrow to move back or forward calendar days. |
7) | Filter patients displayed by entering in the patient's name or the patient's diagnosis. |
8) | Sort the patient list by Location or Name. |
9) | Clicking the icons to switch between a detailed view of patients and their treatment plan or a summarized view of patients on the Treatment Board. |
10) | Filter the list of patients using the drop-down lists available. |
11) | At a glance view if a patient is inpatient or outpatient, patient name, breed, the Department they are associated with while in the hospital, the employee assigned to the patient, why they are on the Treatment Board, any special notes, and treatments due. |
Scheduler Sheet
The Scheduler Sheet provides another view of treatments scheduled for the day. You can also schedule treatments from this view.
1) | This displays the day or date you are viewing on the Scheduler Sheet. |
2) | The link takes you back to the Patient Overview Sheet. |
3) | Displays the Practice Plan of scheduled or unscheduled treatments. |
4) | The gear icon will open Departments. This is where Departments can be created or edited. |
5) | Navigate to different days to view treatments. Click on "Today" to display a monthly calendar then use the calendar to navigate to a different year, month, day. |
6) | View Preferences lets you customize what Locations you want to see on the Scheduler. This Scheduler was customized, therefore, "Custom" is displayed. Clicking the "X" next to Custom will display all columns. |
7) | Jump to the Start of day, Now, or End of day. |
8) | Use the magnifiers to zoom in or zoom out on the Scheduler Sheet. |
9) | You can allow the overlapping of treatments or not by clicking the buttons. |

This is an unscheduled treatment. Clicking on Location displays a different panel so the treatment can be scheduled and a location assigned. |
Patient Plan
From the Patient Overview Sheet, click on a patient to view the Patient Plan.
1) | Quick links to go to the Patient Overview Sheet or the Scheduler Sheet. |
2) | Quick links to enter the patient weight, create a PDF of the patient's visit, view the Practice Plan, and go to Settings to create/edit Departments. |

View the history of people who last edited the plan. |

The Plan panel on the left side of the screen is where you can click on the headings to enter the problem or diagnosis, if the patient should be resuscitated or not, enter any special care needs, select another provider or technician, enter any tasks, and view the patient's status. Click Patient Sheet to enter Assessments, Activities, and Medications. Click Services to view or add services and to mark them complete. Click Labs to view or add labs and to mark them complete. |
