Treatment Bundles is a way to associate multiple services, products, and labs with a single item name. When a Treatment Bundle is added to a patient's medical record, the charges for items that were selected with the bundle are captured and sent to the invoice.
Treatment Bundle Management
- From the Menu, go to Settings > Practice Setup > Treatment Bundles.
- Create Bundle: When clicked, this button will display the side panel where you can enter the bundle name.
- Filter: Click the Filter icon () to open the side panel to filter the list of bundles by active or inactive.
- Search: Enter the name or description of the bundle you are looking for to narrow the display of bundles listed.
- Name: This is the name of the bundle. Click on the label, "Name", to sort the list of bundles in ascending or descending order.
- Description: When creating a bundle, you can enter a brief description that describes the purpose of the bundle.
- Status: The status will show if the bundle is active or inactive.
- Action Button: The Action button displays a menu of options you can perform for the bundle you clicked on. See the options below.
- Page Navigation: When there are more bundles than will fit on one page, click on Next or Prev to move forward or back per page.

Edit Bundle Information - Opens the Edit Bundle Information screen where you can update the bundle Name, Description, Activate/Deactivate. Manage Billable Items – Opens the Manage Billable items screen where you can adjust the billable items in the bundle and manage bundle groups. Deactivate – Deactivates the bundle. Duplicate – Opens the Create Treatment Bundle with all the values of the selected item prefilled, except for the Name field. Delete – Deletes the bundle. |
Create a Treatment Bundle
- Go to the Menu > Settings > Practice Setup > Treatment Bundles.
- On the Treatment Bundles screen, click Create Bundle.
- From the Create Bundle side panel, enter the bundle Name. Adding a Description is optional; however, the description can be helpful when searching for a bundle and to let users know the purpose of the bundle.
- Click Create.
Manage Groups
After you click Create, the screen will change to Billable Items. This is where you add the service, products, or lab items to the bundle. You can also organize the items you add to a bundle by assigning them to a group.
- Click Manage Groups.
Note: The General group is a system defined group and cannot be edited or deleted. - Click Create Group.
- Enter the name for the new group.
- Click Create Group to continue to add groups.
- Click Save.
Edit a Group
- Go to Menu > Settings > Practice Setup > Treatment Bundles.
- To the right of a bundle, click the Action button () > Manage Billable Items.
- Click Manage Groups.
- Place the mouse over the six dots () to click and drag a group to change the order.
- Click in the Group Name box to change the group name.
- In the Group Name box, click the X to clear the name.
- Click the remove icon ( ). A prompt will appear for you to confirm the deletion or cancel the deletion.
Add Items to a Bundle
From the Treatment Bundles / Billable Items screen, add the service, product, or lab items to the bundle.
- Click Add Item.
- From the Add Item side panel, search for the item to add to the bundle.
- Enter a Quantity if other than 1.
- By default, the item is checked to be added to the patient’s record. If you don’t want the item to be checked by default, clear Active by Default.
- Assign the item to a custom group; otherwise, the item will be assigned to the General group.
- Click Add.
- Repeat these steps to add all items to the bundle.
- To change the order of items added to the bundle, move the mouse over the six dots to the left of an item. The mouse will change to a hand.
- Click and drag to move the item.
Note: You can also create groups while adding or editing an item.
Manage Billable Items
- Go to the Menu > Settings > Practice Setup > Treatment Bundles.
- Click the Action button ( ) to the right of the bundle.
- Choose Edit Bundle Information to change the bundle name, description, or mark active/inactive.
- Choose Manage Billable Items to edit the items in the bundle.
- To edit an item, click the pencil icon ().
- You can change the Quantity and assign the item to a different group. You can also activate/deactivate the item.
- Click the remove icon () to remove an item from the bundle. A prompt will appear for you to confirm the deletion.
- Click Remove.
- Click Save to save edits to the bundle.
Note: Once an item is deleted from the bundle, the item will no longer appear in the bundle. If you change your mind and want the item back in the bundle, it will have to manually be added back to the bundle.
