The Patient Sheet is where patient assessments and activities can be scheduled. The Patient Sheet is also where medications to be administered can be added and scheduled.
Assessments and Activities
- From the Patient Overview Sheet, click on a patient.
- From the patient's Plan, click on Patient Sheet.
- The image below shows the Patient Sheet with scheduled Assessments and Activities.
- Click on a blank cell to schedule an assessment or activity. A panel will display to add a new assessment or a new activity.
- For Assessments, click the greater than icon (
) to set up Critical Values.

) to adjust the Allotted time.

) to add Instructions.

Schedule a Series of Activities and Assessments
It may save time to schedule multiple times during the day for something such as taking the patient's temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- On the Patient Sheet, click in the blank cell in the far-left column to select an entire row.
- From the Edit Assessment panel, click on Set up schedule.
- With Recurring event selected, verify the date and time to Assess the treatment is correct.
- Enter what the Allotted time should be to administer the treatment.
- Under Repeat, enter how often the treatment should be administered and how many times.
- Click Save.
Add Medications
It is from the Patient Sheet where you can add medications to be administered to the patient, when they should be given, and the dosage.
- Under Medications, click the plus icon
to open the Add Medications panel.
- On the Add Medication panel, use the Filter to search for the medication, then click on the medication to select it.
- At the top of the panel, click Continue.
- Under Administration details click
to enter the Dosage, Dose rate. For Display, choose if Rate, Total mg, or Total ml. (or tablet) should be displayed.
- Click Done.
- Back on the Add Medication panel, click
to Setup up schedule.
- Select if the medication is a Single event or Recurring event.

- Under Give, verify the date and enter the time the medication is to be administered.
- Under Allotted time, enter the maximum amount of time given to complete the task.
- If administering the medication is a recurring event, enter how often to repeat the task.
- Click Done.
- This returns you to Add Medication. If there are any additional instructions to be entered, click Add instructions.
- When finished adding instructions, click Save.
Duplicate
If a patient is going to remain in the hospital for more than one day, the tasks from the previous day can be copied to the new day.
- If you haven't already, mark the patient as "Staying" under Discharge Status under Plan.
- On the Patient Sheet for the new day, click Duplicate. This will copy the tasks from the previous day to the new day.
- If you decide not to carryover the same tasks from the previous day to the current day, click Clear. A prompt will appear confirming if you want to continue deleting the tasks as the operation cannot be undone.
Mark Items as Done
It is important to mark items as "Done" in order for services, medications, or labs to get sent to the invoice. Marking Assessments and Activities as "Done" will let the user enter a record of the assessment and activity. Assessments, such as temp, pulse, respiration, can be charted.

- On the Patient Sheet, click on a scheduled Assessment, Activity, or Medication.
- Click Done.
- For assessments and activities, enter the record for the assessment, activity.
- Enter any Observations.
- Click Save.
Observations
- At the top of the Patient Sheet is a link labeled Observations. Click on this link to view observations when marking an item as done. You can also add observations from this view.
- To add an observation, click on the plus icon (
) at the upper-right corner or the icon at the bottom of the view (
).
Charts
As you enter assessment values, those values will get charted on the Patient Sheet > Charts.
