You can now assign resources to a Resource Group then filter appointments on the calendar to view appointments based on the selected group.
Enable Resource Groups
- To turn on the Calendar Resource Groups feature, go to Menu > Settings > Practice Setup > General > Calendar Settings.
- Check the box Enable calendar resources group.
- Click Save.
Open Calendar Resource Groups
Once calendar resource group has been enabled, the option to configure calendar resource groups will appear on the Menu.
- From the Menu, go to Settings > Calendar > Resource Groups.
Calendar Resource Groups Overview
- Add Calendar Resource Group - Click to add a new resource group.
- Edit - Click the pencil to edit a resource group.
- Name - This is the name of the resource group.
- Count - A visual indicator as to the number of resources in the group.
- Calendar Resources - The names of the resources assigned to the group.
- View - Click to display a small screen of the resources assigned to the group.
- Active - A visual indicator if the resource group is active or inactive.
- Remove - Click the red x to remove (delete) the resource group.
Create a Resource Group
- From the Menu, go to Calendar > Resource Groups.
- Click Add Calendar Resource Groups to create a new group.

Edit Calendar Resource Groups
- From the Menu, go to Calendar > Resource Groups.
- Click the pencil icon (
) to Edit a group.
- In the Edit Calendar Resource Group dialog box you can:
- Change the group name.
- Mark the group as Active or Inactive.
- Select or de-select resources assigned to the group.
- Click Save.
Calendar Home Page
Once the Resource Groups has been enabled, the Resource Groups filter will appear on the Calendar Home page (Appointments).
- From the Menu, go to Home.
- The Resource Groups filter will appear on the Appointments tab. This filter will not appear on the Boarding or Grooming tabs.
- To view appointments for a specific group, select the Resource Group from the drop-down list.
Note: If a Calendar Resource is marked inactive, and the resource is part of a Resource Group, the resource's appointments will not appear on the calendar when the group is selected.
- When a Resource Group is selected, Incomplete Appointments will show only the incomplete appointments for the group.
- When a Resource group is selected, the Print option will print only the selected Resource Group appointments.
Blocked Schedule
If a day or time is blocked off for appointments, users will receive a prompt that lets the user know the group does not have resources scheduled for appointments.
- Go to Menu > Settings > Calendar Resources.
- Schedule a resource that is not part of a group (for example, "Closed" or "Holiday").
- From the Menu click Home.
- Click on resource for the view.
- Navigate to the date that has the blocked resource scheduled.
- Select a Resource Group.
- The following prompt will appear:
