Treatment items can be locked and unable to be removed once a payment has been made towards the invoice, or if the invoice status is set as Closed. The steps below will help you remove items from a paid or partially paid invoice.
Note: You must have the employee rights enabled to void a payment and remove treatment items to complete these steps.
- Go to the client profile.
- Scroll down to the invoice under the Account Balance section.
- Click View History.
- Locate any receipts associated with the specific invoice.
- Click Void Payment on the payment receipts associated with that invoice, voiding in order from most recently paid and descending until you void all receipts of payment made towards that invoice.
- This will completely reopen the invoice and automatically change the invoice status to open.
- Click on the item description link of the item to go to the Treatment screen.
- Click on the remove icon on the left side of the screen.
It is important that after you make changes to the invoice, reprocess the original payments as you received them.
Change Invoice Status to Open
Note: You must have the employee right enabled to remove treatment items and to change invoice status to complete these steps.
If no payments are associated with the closed invoice, you can change the invoice status to Open with these steps:
- Go to the client profile.
- Scroll down to the invoice under the Account Balance section.
- Click the invoice status Change to Open and it will prompt you to confirm your choice.
- Click Ok and the Invoice Status will update to Open.
- Click on the item description link of the item to go to the Treatment screen.
- Click on the remove icon on the left side of the screen.
